This is one of the desirable first generation 2CV's identified by being known as the Rippled Hood type. This has the last of the early AZ two cylinder engines which develops 12.5 horsepower. The engine starts without drama and runs very well and is a delight in its simplicity. The three speed manual transmission works with the usual Gallic charm. Whilst this car has enjoyed some restoration it still has plenty of scope for improvement, it would make an excellent choice for taking to the next level. The simple utilitarian interior is surprisingly comfortable and can be easily removed for side of the Siene picnics. The roof can be partially or fully rolled back and can even be removed completely should one desire. The supple and long travel suspension gives one of the smoothest riding experiences one can have.
